One headstrong matriarch, three irrepressible children, a penniless dentist, and a curmudgeonly businessman turn Shaw’s delightfully light-hearted comedy into a celebration of life’s contradictions. Mrs. Clandon attempts to shield her children from any knowledge of their father (referred to as “that horrid man”) when she suddenly finds the whole family reunited during a farcical seaside holiday.
